Decisions The IF-THEN and IF-THEN-ELSE are useful commands because they allow alternatives. You can ask questions and give the user choices. Later on we will learn another powerful command - the SWITCH statement Projects: These are small projects that you can do that involve IF statements. Try a couple for practice, or make up some of your own. You may end up with some very useful programs that you can use on your computer or later on, put them on your cellphone. note: You may want to use the Answer command with buttons. You can limit their choices instead of having them type something that you did not expect 1. Greetings Ask a classmate what grade they are in and give them a customized greeting. 9th grade - "Welcome fellow student! 10th grade - "Boo, go away" 11th grade - "Hi there" 12th grade - "Hello Senior" 2. Personality Test Ask them their favorite color and then tell them their personality red - exciting, quick tempered, etc 3. Knock-Knock Jokes Program some knock-knock jokes You: Knock Knock Them: Who's there? (Give them a choice - "Who's there" or "I quit" You: (say a word - like "Boo") Them: They click on "Who" or "I give up" (e.g. Boo Who?) You: (the answer - like "Why are you crying?") experimen to make it work right 4. Interactive Story Make an interactive story that depends on what they click on.
